PAMOJA ZANZIBAR is a concept by Radek BOND Bednarz, musician, producer, founder of Eklektik Session international artists platform. The first Pamoja Zanzibar Festival taking place in July 2021 presented interactions between African and European artists. In March 2022, as a result of coming together with Sinaubi and the Zawose family, the band featuring finest Polish and Tanzanian musicians toured Zanzibar and mainland. This beatiful experience led to Sinaubi’s performances at IOMMA Indian Ocean Music Market, Music in Africa ACCES 2022 and recording session at Wanene studios Dar es Salaam in January 2023 for first SINAUBI ZAWOSE & PAMOJA ZANZIBAR album "GOGO HIP" (release 1.07.2023).
Radek BOND Bednarz
musician, bass player, composer and producer born in Wrocław, Poland. In 2005-2016, the leader of the band MILOOPA, with which he released 4 albums and performed at the largest European festivals. Founder of the international power trio HANG EM HIGH with Lucien Dubuis and Alfred Vogel. Originator and director of the Eklektik Session international platform and festival, co-creator of the Eklektik Art space and gallery in Wrocław. Since 2019 developing Pamoja Zanzibar, a spectacular idea of diversity and unity in East Africa.
Bond's Silent Witness releases feature variety of artists from around the globe: debut album with Mieko Miyazaki, Loup Barrow, Studnitzky (2018). Silent Witness II features new guest artists such as Ben Aylon, Jimi Tenor, Moussa Diallo, Stevo Atambire (Alostmen).
He has collaborated with other outstanding artists such as Nils Petter Molvaer, Jan Bang, Dele Sosimi, Jojo Mayer, Yossi Fine, Guo Gan, Wu Wei, Josh Dion, NFM Wrocław Philharmonic. He presented innovative techniques during the elite bass events: Bass Day UK 2007 in Manchester alongside Reggie Washington and Drum Bass Fest 2012 in Dresden with players like Doug Wimbish and Jonas Hellborg.
